Field of Labor

God's Calling

How God found a laborer for the harvest

Raised in Honduras by Missionaries Brent and Jennifer Schreckhise, I was exposed to the mission field from the tender age of 7. At 13 God called me to preach the Gospel, and so began my journey to full time missions. At 15, the Lord planted a burden in my heart for the country of Honduras. Upon this confirmation, I threw myself into the work of God there wholeheartedly. In January 2018 God met me while I was driving through La Ceiba and I knew this city was to be my focal point for the future. Between 2018 and 2020 I attempted to start a church in La Ceiba, but God had different plans. Through much prayer and fasting, and the confirmation and approval of my elders and Pastor, God led us to transition into the pastorate of the headquarters church. Since November 2022 I have pastored, accompanied by my wife and two sons. Our focus is preparing men with the vision of reaching the cities along the North coast of Honduras.

What God is doing in Honduras

In addition to the growing congregation of La Ceiba, we are supporting the start of a brand new church in the city of Comayagua. Also, God has opened a door in the nearby city of Tela for Bible studies. A church in Tela has been a dream and prayer for well over 30 years, and God is finally preparing the way.

Dreams for the Kingdom

What your support would mean for Honduras

Our vision is the Northern Coastal Corridor of Honduras which spans between the city of Tela and the city of Trujillo. The combined population of this corridor is approximately 720,000 souls!

Building a strong headquarters church with the proper facilities in La Ceiba is key to this vision. As we go forward, some of those elements will include:

  • Missionary apartment on the church property
  • Dorms and classrooms for Bible school and ministry training
  • Large sanctuary to fit fellowship services between the expanding group of churches

These dreams will require financial provision, and we are confident that God will continue to open doors and supply the needs as they arise!
