God’s Calling
How God found a laborer for the harvest
Since 1997, we have been under the ministry of Pastor Schwing in Lafayette, Louisiana. During those years, we served at a home mission church in Baton Rouge from 2005 to 2011 and at another home missions work in Covington from 2018 to 2020. From 2011 to 2024, we were active in evangelism and outreach across several areas around Lafayette, and from 2014 to 2024 we served as Sunday School Superintendent.
The work in Honduras actually began during our Covington years, through an outreach and Bible study on the Northshore with families from Honduras. We started to see converts come from that outreach, and a young man named Daniel received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name. After his conversion, he began to fellowship with our daughter, and when they decided it was the will of God for them to be married, we visited his family in Honduras. From that visit and the wedding, more than ten people were baptized in Jesus name. My wife and I continued to visit Honduras for several months, and we kept seeing interest as God opened doors for us to find a place to stay and to begin holding services.
In 2024, we entered the field as missionaries to Honduras, where we currently serve.
From the Front Lines
What God is doing in Honduras
We now have a building for Church and our first service was in early 2026 — we had 38 visitors. Bro Schreckhise was with us and preached the first service for us, and we are so excited about what God is doing and looking forward to what is next as we make disciples here by the help of the Holy Ghost.

What your support would mean for Honduras
We were able to buy a small AWD vehicle for the mission, but for the first couple of years any time we had to bring our people to events (Schreckhise’s) we rented vans. We are hoping to be able to purchase a nice van that can handle the terrain and also a truck for getting out to some of the remote areas (our car has gotten stuck in some of our endeavors). We also plan to remodel two rooms and a bathroom in the back of our Church Building for setting up a Medical/Dental Clinic as we have met folks that are interested in helping us with this. The medical professionals are from Honduras and are willing to volunteer services a few days a week and we plan to use that as an outreach tool to introduce the area to our Church and to provide care as we are able to fund this. We also see this first work in San Pedro Sula as our home base but we are praying to see other works get started in surrounding areas (Santa Barbara, etc). We are part of the Central America Apostolic Missionaries (El Salvador, Belize, Panama, Guatemala) and are in rotation of hosting camp meetings and ministry events for our people and support that comes in helps us to take care of the costs involved with these.
